We’re actively involved in research to find better ways to balance farming, biodiversity and natural capital. Working with national organisations, we’re helping to develop new models for environmental investment and land management, including:
- Taking part in the Environment Agency’s Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund to develop a model to enable ecoservices to be sold on a local and national basis via woodland creation
- Taking part in the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) Landscape Recovery trial to see how this can be achieved in conjunction with farming tenants

Alongside this, we continue to meet the highest standards of environmental care, complying with statutory DEFRA regulations, ensuring the Estate remains a place where nature and business can thrive together. To help achieve and monitor this, we received our Level 2 certification by Wildlife Farms & Estates.
