River Fly Monitoring with Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust

In March, a Swinton Estate team member took part in a River Fly Monitoring course with Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust, gaining valuable insight into river health and biodiversity. The day combined expert-​led learning with hands-​on monitoring, exploring how different species indicate water quality.

Following the training, the Estate has joined the WaterBlitz project, with plans to continue testing and contribute to wider environmental efforts – a meaningful step in supporting long-​term sustainability across our waterways.
